About

My experience in developing software began a little over twenty years ago, while programming on the Sinclair Spectrum and BBC Micro. Things have moved on somewhat since then and I’m now developing on a PC.

Since graduating from Nene University in 1998, I have developed for a wide variety of clients in the United Kingdom and abroad, including English Heritage, Aviva and Wales Millennium Centre, as well as many councils, castles, cathedrals, aquariums, stately homes, museums, visitor centres, breweries and pharmaceutical companies.

My portfolio encompasses all manner of products; virtual tours, talking heads, database-driven collections, educational interactives, promotional and marketing tools, games, quizzes, questionnaires, symposium highlights, interactive show reels, simulations and photographic kiosks, to name but a few. Standard and high definition, multi-screen and multi-language interactives are no problem, as I have plenty of experience creating these too.

The software I develop with includes industry-standard applications such as Adobe Flash, AIR, Director, Photoshop and languages including ActionScript. I have developed for Windows PCs, Apple Macs, touch screens and cross platform CD-ROMs. Also, I have many years experience of integrating peripherals such as printers, webcams, digital SLRs, projectors, sensors and custom-built hardware into interactives.

I don’t just program software. I can also assist in the concept, structure and content of interactive software from the start, all the way through to completion. For kiosk interactives, I can also assist on-site with installation, set-up and testing.
